Buyers can choose between two engines, a 170-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder, or, a 272-hp 3.7-liter V6 engine. The 2.5 can be teamed with either a six-speed manual or optional five-speed automatic, while the V6 is bolted exclusively to a six-speed automatic transmission. Both automatic transmissions feature a manual shift mode. Standard safety equipment includes tire pressure monitoring, anti-lock brakes, electronic stability and traction control, side-impact and side-curtain airbags, while a blind spot monitoring system is standard on Touring Plus and Grand Touring trims. The Mazda6 is unchanged for 2012.
2012 Mazda Mazda6 Reviews
Most impressive is the 6's steering, which feels as if it took a few lessons at the Miata finishing school. Turn-in is sharp, and the variable-assist rack-and-pinion system provides good feedback and little need for correction at higher speeds. And, if you're a driving enthusiast, it's guaranteed you'll experience 'The Joy of 6'! The titanium-finish dash features round gauges and chrome accents, and controls are easy to find and operate. The Honda Accord and the Toyota Camry seem airier and spacious, but it's really a matter of taste, as some prefer a snug environment, especially when piloting a sporty vehicle. Complementing the steering is its all-independent suspension, composed of double wishbones in the front and multiple links in the rear. The other minor shortcoming is that an auto-down/up feature is available only for the driver's window. We like Mazda's talk of connecting emotionally with customers. But we're not sure they've reached far enough with the 6 to grab the attention they need. After four generations of maturation and development, and considerable help from Ford Motor Company, the zoom-zoom guys have really put a fine point on it this time. It's more agile and holds the road better than other mid-size sedans, such as the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and Nissan Altima. The Mazda 6i is a hoot to drive. We found the seats especially comfortable for fast driving through the suburbs and exurbs, with lots of good upper body support, and enough lower back support with the standard lumbar adjuster to keep you happy all day. |

WELCOME TO COX FAMILY OF DEALERSHIPS
The Cox family according to family lore has been in the automobile business since the early 1900’s. During the teens and twenties they operated a Ford franchise in Ocilla, Georgia. During the boom years of the Roaring Twenties they moved to Avon Park, Florida where they operated a Dodge dealership.
With over 80 plus years experience in the successful operation of automotive dealerships, the Cox family and all of its loyal employees have earned a respectable and secure place in the Bradenton community. The past is something to be proud of, but the greatest period lies ahead. We are all part of the team, which will write a new and even more exciting chapter in the company’s history book.
